About the Presenter:
I coach teachers and own My eCoach, an online learning community built on a coaching platform. Since 1998, I write a regular column on professional development for OnCUE (Computer Using Educators). I am the online professional development chair for ISTE Sig ILT (Innovative Learning Technologies). My main goal is to facilitate the design of personalized learning environments that bring joy and encourage creativity to learners of all ages.
About the Presentation:
This presentation will describe joy, how to bring joy back to learning, and strategies to personalize learning. There will be examples of different classroom environments including how ythe online environments can personalize learning for all learners. Some strategies covered in the presentation include the Reggio Emilio approach, individual learning plans, variety of classroom arrangements including the Holodeck similar to Star Trek.1:1 netbook program, and PBL.

Welcome to the annual connecting online live online conference (CO11). You are cordially invited to participate at the live online conference on the weekend of Feb 4-6 2011.
The conference will be of interest to educators, administrators, students, and community members who value the importance of integrating technology into the curriculum to improve instruction and learning. Online learning involves various skills on the part of the instructor and learner. These include social and communication skills, social networking, independent learning strategies, critical and higher order thinking skills, creativity, and effective online and face-to-face facilitation. In addition, there are may challenges that the educators, administrators, students, and community members face.
The CO11 will be conducted on IT4ALL Moodle with the presentations on WiZiQ through the Moodle.
